About

Born in Chicago, I return periodically to my old neighborhood to
record images of the people there. The objective is not simply to
create a likeness of the people or illustrate their environment but
to show the stress and pressure in the physical makeup of their
existence.

I received a Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, with a
major in commercial art and a minor in business administration.
Some permanent collections of my work are, Blue Cross Blue
Shield, Rutgers University, Chicago State University and Beloit
College.

I have exhibited in galleries and colleges throughout the
Chicagoland area and nationally, including the Elmhurst Art
Museum Biennial, Chicago Cultural Center and the 60 th Annual
Chautauqua Exhibition. In addition I was awarded first place in the
Beloit Vicinity Exhibition and subsequently awarded a solo
exhibition at Beloit College Wright Museum. More recently, my
work will be included in the New American Paintings Midwest
Region.
